MALAU bakery in Pilar Centro Argentina

Grizzo Studio has shared photos of MALAU, a new bakery in Pilar Centro, Argentina, that includes handcrafted pieces of dyed cement in its design.

The designers sought to capture the essence of the creative process used at MALAU bakery, which is based on constant experimentation to develop its cookies. This process of trial and error culminates in a final perfected recipe.

Taking this premise as the central inspiration for the design of the space, the designers created handcrafted pieces of dyed cement that make up the cladding of the bar front.

Each piece has been molded into rounded shapes that evoke the bakery’s emblematic cookies. It establishes a tactile and visual connection that intertwines the product with its architectural environment, symbolizing the dedication and effort invested in each recipe.

The designers chose a palette of pastel tones to bring color coherence to the space and contribute to a cozy and serene atmosphere.

A curved wall with a textured finish made with pigments and natural stones separates the public space from the private one.
