Honker Burger Visual Identity Systems & Applications

Honker Burger is a chain of burger stores predominantly situated in Melbourne’s Suburbia. The Honker team appointed Studio Equator to develop a brand identity and store Design Strategy for a small initial roll out of 5 stores. With a passion for burgers and creativity, we created the Honkers Brand influenced by the iconic American golden era brands of the 60’s & 70’s, the traditional language of bicycles and fun.

The result first delivers with a simple and bold typographical logo solution offering various versions to reflect various moods and personalities. The marks are supported by a series of quirky retro looking characters illustrating the main offerings (burgers, chips and milkshakes). The restricted colour harmony is both controlled and dynamic, whilst communicating the fast food offering. Applications are currently in production and promises to impress.
