Congratulations to Joyce Prescher: Finalist of the Australian Folk Music Awards

Studio Equator had the pleasure of designing Joyce Prescher’s latest Album “Out of My Mind”. We are over the moon to hear that Joyce is a finalist of The Australian Folk Music Awards under the Contemporary Folk Music Album of The Year award categories.

Our design solution is simple & memorable, reminiscent of the old classic 60’s & 70’s album covers. The image (Joyce Portrait) was hand drawn and stylised to convey a sense of honesty & humility, which in turn reflects Joyce’s personal, story-telling song writing style. The black and white colour palette adds truth and immediately draws you into Joyce’s Stories and Wonderful music. The supporting album singles showcases a series of images taken in Holand by the artist’s photographer. The images are nostalgic & enigmatic, reflecting a feeling of isolation & solitude, giving the listener further clues to the musical narratives. 

Joyce Presher is one of the most talented clients we have ever had the pleasure to collaborate with, and we are not surprised by her accolades and wish her much success!
