Kwamee by Francis is a independent clothing label and an individual style. Kwamee is an established brand that has designed for and styled their customers for over ten years, and studio equator has been a fan of their designs for years.

We were asked to design a range of t-shirts which would push the brand further while still maintaining the essence of the brand.  A variety of t-shirts were designed based on iconic images selected by Kwamee, but styled in a contemporary manner.

The images used include Jim Morrison, Deborah Harry, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Hendrix, Chuck Berry, Vivienne Westwood, Tina Turner and Joni Mitchell, as well as some classic music, groove and Rastafarian images.

The resulting range is a classic yet quirky collection of parodies of icons in the music and fashion industry.
